030. once // paris je t'aime // pirates // family.

for the slow fade of love, it might hit you from below, it's your gradual descent into a life you never meant. it's the slow fade of love.

a step away from the "emo-ness" that is the previous post, the past two days have been good.

saturday
movie fest with paul was a lot of fun! i got to his house at 11:00 AM, where we proceeded to samy's camera store so paul could buy film for his upcoming trip to europe. after samy's, we went to eat at CPK express @ south coast plaza's crystal court. following lunch, we went to the regency theater across the street and watched paris je t'aime and once, both of which are excellent films, by the way. i really enjoyed paris je t'aime. :) it makes me want to go back to paris and actually explore the city more and bask in its history and beauty, since i only spent two days there in january. and yes, we did indeed watch two movies in a row at the theater. after watching the movies, we stopped by crystal court again for a quick shopping trip [new jeans & plain black hoodie for me courtesy of h&m! - yes, there is an h&m at south coast plaza now!].

sunday
i went to church with the parental units @ 11:00 AM. i really liked what the priest said during the homily: "we are all made in the image of God; therefore, when we better understand God, we better understand ourselves." hmmmmmmmmm. anyway, afterward, we went to ikea to shop for a few things. following ikea, we went to long beach town center to see the 5:15 showing of pirates of the caribbean: at world's end (thank you, dorothy, for getting us in!) because my parents hadn't seen it yet, and my dad wanted to see chow yun fat in it, haha. we ate dinner then went home. terence called around 11:00 PM and told me to go hang out with him and his cousins (they live down the street and around the corner from me in my neighborhood), so i stopped by and chatted with them a bit. i hadn't seem them in a very long time, even though they live so close!

good weekend. :)
